The C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, now in its 10^th year, connects 70+ of the world’s greatest cities, representing 500 million people and one fifth of the global economy. Focused on tackling climate change, C40 drives urban action that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and climate risks, while increasing the health, well-being and economic opportunities of urban citizens.

C40 identifies and promotes exchange of scalable proven solutions, programs and policies developed by cities. The current chair of the C40 is Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes, who – with the support of the C40 Management Team - guides the work of the C40, along with the members of the C40 Steering Committee.
