World Horse Welfare works tirelessly to give abused and neglected horses a second chance, at home and overseas. Formerly the ILPH, we’ve spent nearly a century challenging ignorance, mistreatment and cruelty to horses, wherever we’ve found them - whether that’s through working with individual horse owners, equestrian organisations or governments.

Today we’re seen as the number one international horse charity, working around the world and helping thousands of horses every year. But we’re only able to do this with the help of our supporters- people like you.

Together, we can turn your passion for horses into the power to help countless more of these animals live happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives. We do this by tackling the root causes of mistreatment and neglect, stamping out cruelty, campaigning for improved treatment, and helping owners understand how to care for their horses better. Practically, efficiently and effectively. With your support, our four farms can nurse neglected and mistreated horses back to health and we’ll also be able to carry on finding new homes for horses in the UK.
