This long established charity works closely with UK galleries and museums to promote public access to the arts. Based in upmarket West London offices the communications team campaigns through the mainstream consumer media as well as direct Government lobbying around issues that are important to the British public in relation to art work. From cutting edge contemporary projects to historic masterpieces this organisation provides support to a wide ranging portfolio of art. As the PR manager you will work directly with the head of communications devising newsworthy campaigns based either on one off projects or ongoing issues. Overseeing, but not directly managing a senior press officer and press assistant you will have responsibility for raising awareness of the charity within the media. You will need excellent core PR skills ideally working on campaigns and issues, obtained from either a consultancy or in-house background. Creativity is a key part of this role and you'll need to have a good eye for what makes a strong consumer story. In addition you will already have a strong interest in the media and keep up to date on current consumer and political agendas.
