Head of Press Office
Up to £42k + excellent benefits – Regent’s Park, London
London Business School is one of the world's most prestigious centres of business education and research. Its purpose is to develop breakthrough insights and successful leaders that have a positive impact on business around the world.
The Communications team, part of the External Relations Group, builds global brand awareness, enhancing the School’s reputation among prospective students and employees, our alumni and the business community. The Press Office raises the School’s profile through strategically targeting national and international media, developing and maintaining strong relations with journalists, particularly in business and education, worldwide.
Dealing with the School’s PR agencies in New York and Hong Kong, you will create a rich network of media contacts. Identifying issues and sourcing stories that could be commented on by faculty and senior staff, and offering them to the media as spokespeople, you will also find points of news value in academic research and promote the School’s thought-leadership and portfolio of programmes.
Working with the team it will be your role to brief the Dean, faculty and senior staff on any media relations they undertake. A first degree or equivalent experience is needed; a professional qualification in marketing, public relations or communications is desirable. You’ll need significant experience in media relations or journalism, preferably in business or education. Good media contacts, management and administrative skills are essential, with a flair for communicating at different levels.
We Offer
The School will help you develop your potential within a truly cosmopolitan working environment in a beautiful central London location. Benefits include generous holiday entitlement, season ticket loan, first-rate contributory final salary pension scheme and excellent recreational facilities, including on-site swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and fully-equipped gym.
