Are you passionate about creating compelling communications? Can you produce strategic plans, think creatively yet logically, and ensure the CIPFA brand has a voice that is distinct, clear and consistent?

Would you be able to manage the communications function for a busy, complex organisation with a diverse range of products and services? If so this could be your chance to take a leading role in our newly re-structured corporate communications department within one of the UK’s leading accountancy bodies – the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy.

You will support the Marketing and Corporate Communications Director by leading a team with the responsibility for creating and implementing communication activities for all of CIPFA’s products and services. You will oversee the planning, management, and execution of all communications to raise CIPFA’s profile in the UK and internationally, ensure we engage and communicate effectively with our staff, membership, student and external stakeholders from the Cabinet office, HM Treasury through to local authorities and other providers throughout the public services.

Experience of devising and implementing internal, external communications strategies in print, online and through events is a must; as is working in a business to business knowledge-based organization and managing budgets and people. It goes without saying that you will be educated to degree level and a member of CIPR or equivalent. Equally as important are your interpersonal skills – we need someone who is self-motivated, diplomatic, and persuasive, who is responsive, accurate, has attention to detail and is a superb communicator.
