My client, a top 30 agency, is seeking a senior consumer PR professional at AD level. This is an unusual role as it is working for just one client so a fantastic opportunity to have the best of both in-house and agency worlds at once.

The client is a rewarding and demanding media-focussed account. You would be managing a team of four and reporting directly into the MD.

The work largely revolves around profiling and promoting jobs within the armed forces. You will be expected to manage positive stories that will engage and influence the public and relevant stakeholder groups. There is no crisis communications involved in this role.

Activity is wide-ranging and as such allows significant creative input – elements may include broadcast partnerships, advertorials and press conferences alongside media relations.

Relevant skills include strong strategic planning skills, experience of working with multiple stakeholder groups and other agencies such as advertising or marketing, client counsel at Director level, good presentation skills, excellent understanding of the media, superb budget management and a creative outlook as well as an eye for detail and process. A history of working with the public sector would be a big plus.
