This is a newly created role and our client – a leading healthcare agency – is looking for an experienced Senior Director to work in partnership with the Managing Partner of Market Access to take responsibility for delivering pre-specified financial, commercial and operational for the agency.
On a day to day basis your role will cover responsibility for financial and operational management plus the resourcing and mentoring of staff. You will make a significant contribution to annual business planning and be the lead on key client relationships. You will also be expected to offer support for new business development. Quality control, processes and knowledge management will come within your remit as will collaboration with other practices. As the driver of integrated offerings you will also be responsible for training and development with a focus on delivering integration.
As part of your daily work with the Managing Partner of Market Access, you will be responsible for the operational management of the team as well as being responsible for forecasting, tracking of figures and the development and delivery of the annual business plan. You will also be called upon to provide support and input into developing a longer term strategic framework for the business.
Working alongside the Managing Partner you will have ownership of selected key client relationships and as such you will provide senior strategic counsel as required. Your remit will include the development and ownership of client project plans in order to ensure adequate resourcing, quality and on-time delivery across business. As appropriate you will also participate in and drive new business acquisition in integrated access communications across the various business units working closely with the pitch teams, providing input to creative and strategic development of client proposals. You will also support organic growth and deliver new revenue streams by working with client teams to design and implement integrated programmes that align disciplines behind the access challenge.
Your specific expertise in healthcare Market Access will help you identify the talent needs in line with growth and development in Market Access/Payer engagement. You will be able to work across the BUs and geographies to capture and communicate best practice examples of integrated access solutions that facilitate local and regional skill development. You will maintain communication platforms across the global organisation which support the dissemination of integrated access excellence programmes and lead on integrated working, cross selling and client introductions.
Your experience in healthcare will allow you to maintain industry leading skills and capabilities in understanding and delivering integrated access programmes that align internal and external audiences behind the access challenge; an understanding of developments in key disciplines that can support market access; and knowledge of competitors and their activities to guide and maintain differentiation.
The ideal candidate will have strong programme/project management skills and a strong consulting based approach to client relationships. You will also have broad knowledge of all the key business disciplines (PR, Medical education, GA, Direct Marketing, HEOR and Pricing). Strong interpersonal skills and strong team management/leadership skills are a must. You will have to be persuasive and articulate in presenting ideas and views with a real passion for healthcare business and a desire to be at the forefront of healthcare communications.
