Role responsibilities:
*Recruit and manage a team of up to 10 people for campaigns including appraisals
*Manage senior media relationships across the UK
*Ensure the organisation's reputation as a leading charity brand is accurately presented in the media
*Keep abreast of developments in grant giving across the UK and Africa
*Create and manage budgets
*Lead on any non-campaign projects requiring media support such as the Commonwealth Games 2014
*Lead on building and maintaining effective relationships within the organisation including artist liaison, fundraising and marketing
*Maintain regular communication with senior stakeholders

Candidates must be creative, hard-working and passionate about what they do. You must have strong project and budget management skills, a strong news sense and understanding of the media, particularly the regional media. Experience of celebrity liaison and corporate partnerships would be a bonus.
