They are now looking for a talented and motivated account manager to join their consumer technology and social media team to work on a very high profile flagship account in the social media space. As part of the role, you'll help brainstorm creative campaign ideas for consumer and b2b audiences, manage product/app launches, events, celebrity endorsements, sponsorship activities and work on campaigns to change brand perception and increase product and services awareness. While the lion's share of the work is traditional PR, there will be extensive work online and with social media, that will also step into the marketing and design space and involve targeted online community engagement - so a very creative and varied day to day experience. Your work will be well tied-in with efforts from digital creative specialists for an integrated approach, and a great aspect to the role will be working on some experiential campaigns.
While the agency is looking for consumer technology and social media experience, b2b technology is also very valuable and many of the other clients are in the b2b tech sector. So this is one of those rare opportunities for b2b tech consultants to move into a more consumer role. The role itself will be a consumer/b2b mix. What you must have is account manager level PR consultancy experience from within the UK market and a good record of media coverage for technology clients – b2b, consumer tech, or both.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits
