Energy, green-power, mining and utilities are the kind of areas this team works in and now it needs an Account Director to add to the dynamic team

 

Account Director / Corporate / Central London

c £40,000

 

This role sits within a small specialist core team of around 12 people working closely with clients operating in the energy sector.  The team functions within a wider Corporate practice, which itself exists alongside other divisions in what is one of the world’s leading PR consultancies. 

 

By definition, the work is international, but the team’s principal focus is on the UK and European areas.  The client work spans various activities: traditional energy, renewables, power, utilities, mining, transport and infrastructure.  Crucially, the agency has had big ambitions for the sustainability business for some time and remains committed to its future in a big way.

 

You’ll be a corporate communications practitioner well-versed in consultancy life; an analytical and strategic thinker with a love of communications and issues management but coupled, as you might expect, with a demonstrable interest in the energy and/or industrials sector.  Experience handling corporate reputation campaigns within the sustainability sector would be useful.  And, if you have any political stakeholder or public affairs experience that would be a significant advantage too.  In any event, you’ll have an awareness of the political landscape and how energy issues are impacting policy and vice versa.

 

Your high energy, good attention to detail and self-motivation are all evident in the quality of your work.  You’ll be keen to spot (and develop) new business opportunities, will be a team player and a self-starter too with the presence to manage bright junior team members.  Strong client/budget management skills and a passion for developing lasting client relationships are must-haves.
