As part of our Advocacy and Communications team (ACT) you will have responsibility for media relations.  

With the opportunity for international travel you will develop and implement strategies to raise the profile of IPPF and the awareness and visibility of SRHR issues.  

Cultivating strong and supportive media contacts you will coordinate press events and media outreach opportunities, as well as researching and writing background briefings, press releases and blogs.  

Working closely with the team you will help develop campaigns and web based initiatives, additionally working with partner organizations on joint communication projects.  

You are a strong team player with fluent English and excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.  

With proven experience of running a press office, ideally within an international arena, and knowledge of best media practice you have managed multiple campaigns and communications outreach to tight deadlines.  

You have the ability to take complex and politically sensitive issues to a broad range of audiences, through a variety of channels. You will be experienced in delivering both reactive and proactive media strategies.

You must have a degree, preferably in communications / marketing/ PR. A Qualification / membership of a professional Public Relations institute / body is desirable.
