My client is a media and communications agency based in central London. They handle a variety of international clients ranging from B2B and B2C sectors. My client is looking for someone to work with their legal firm client.
the role is based at their client`s London office, the main focus of this role will be to develop and deliver the creative campaigns that comprise the heart of the communications strategy for the firm across seven international offices. Working closely with the business development and sector group heads, you will build the framework for driving the firm`s reputation, building credibility in core sectors to win new clients and influence senior decision-makers. As the first point of contact for all media and will often be required to work closely with the senior management team on reactive communications when issues arise, as well as the proactive messaging to drive the firm`s commercial momentum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Managing incoming media requests - research, drafting statements, interaction with Partners.
 Developing partnership opportunities with digital and traditional media worldwide supporting mutually-beneficial outcomes.
 Managing incoming Partner requests - advice on comms or marketing, assistance with speeches, media training, blogs and thought-leadership.
 Running proactive media outreach - issuing deal release, firm announcements, relationship development, campaign specific comms
 Meetings attendance - comms group meetings, weekly BD meetings, sector champions, exec personnel
 Issues tracking - digesting daily media , monitoring online media, monitoring cleint's reputation online
 Monitoring public affairs issues - monitoring Partner outreach, legislative monitoring, preparing briefing notes, developing interaction with key departments and officials
 Focusing on business and national media, proactively identify opportunities, communicate media successes internally and drive campaign ideas
 Preparing, implementing and evaluating media plans for specific campaign or issues. Provide training and preparation for partners before interviews
 Managing the press release process and managing article placement
 Overseeing the directory and award submissions and advising partners on where time and effort should be spent for the best result
 Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure appropriate internal news is coupled with external campaigns where appropriate
 Helping to manage the firm`s relations with key conference organisers and project managing conference speaking or sponsorship opportunities
 Provides mentoring support to Communications Executives
