The role will be to drive European PR strategy and planning and implement PR activities to ensure that products published and/or distributed by my client are well represented in the media to the public in the UK and European market.
The main focus of the role is to secure coverage for the products in the specialist kids/family/mums press and to drive broad coverage (dependant on product and brand/PR strategies) to a wide audience - both offline and online. The role requires integrated working with management of one or more external PR agencies to deliver comprehensive PR exposure!
You will work closely with the other UK, European and Global functions to ensure that all activities are integrated into one overall brand plan that drives consumer purchase intent and maximises the overarching global strategy and PR programmes. As the PR Manager, you will be expected to take responsibility of the PR for your allocated products, and to be proactive in planning and implementing creative campaigns with a high level of autonomy.
Strategy and experiential are both integral parts of this role, working closely with the European PR Director on a daily basis. The strategy is an obvious for this level, but the Experiential may not seem so, however this is essential. This makes the role even more interesting, you will be understand the workings of what and how makes good experiential activity, which will ultimately tie in with PR strategy as a whole. Logistically you will have experience of pulling together events and have experience of working on-site.
You will ideally come from a competitor, however you may also come from an agency that manages entertainment clients. The knowledge of the entertainment space is a must.
