Thames Valley Berkshire LEP is recruiting a Communications Manager, working a maximum of 3 days across flexible hours. Salary: c. £40k pro rata (depending on experience).

The purpose of Thames Valley Berkshire LEP Ltd is to: assist, promote, encourage, develop, lead and deliver sustainable economic growth of the Thames Valley Berkshire LEP area, creating a diverse and competitive knowledge economy with first class infrastructure and high growth, built on local private strengths, exports and job creation.

Reporting to the Business Director the Communications Manager will communicate proactively on behalf of the Thames Valley Berkshire LEP, generating the right messages to the right audiences in the most effective way, and monitoring all communications relating to Thames Valley Berkshire.

The Communications Manager will be expected to form key working relationships in a complex and dynamic environment; acting as the point of contact for all communication matters relating to Thames Valley Berkshire.

Significant and demonstrable experience of success in a multi-disciplined communications role is essential, along with exemplary written communication skills. Applicants should also have high standards of integrity, honesty and professionalism, be self-motivated, creative and flexible in their approach to work. The successful candidate will have an all-round, general understanding of the full spectrum of communication channels and 21st Century tools available, and be able to understand the economic environment within which the LEP operates and the different sectors that constitute it.
