Communications Manager – Permanent

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is a Non-Departmental Public Body, funded by farmers and growers, with a pivotal role of improving the farming and horticulture industries through efficiency and competitiveness across the UK.
A lively and busy communications role at the heart of AHDB’s horticulture division (HDC), this person will be part of a team delivering key messages to vegetable, fruit and ornamental growers across the country.
A key part of the role is communicating the results of HDC’s research programme and knowledge transfer activates to growers, stakeholders and the wider horticulture industry through close liaison with the in-house research managers, knowledge transfer team and events coordinator.
This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop your skills to enhance current communication channels and develop new disciplines including digital media, web development and design at a time of exciting change in the food and farming industry.
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate excellent writing and project management skills. Horticultural knowledge is desirable, but not essential.
