Our client is a relatively new independent healthcare agency that has forged an excellent reputation in a short time and as such is growing very quickly and picking up a number of prestigious clients. They are looking for a Senior Account Director who can help steer the business through its next phase. You will play a critical role in the development of the company from an account leadership perspective by heading up core accounts, creating and converting organic business growth, and playing an active role in new business opportunities. You will also be expected to build and maintain excellent client and KOL relationships.
There is a good level of autonomy in this role so you will be expected to create a supportive, informed and empowered account management team that act as a real powerhouse for the business, putting our account management teams at the forefront of ‘know how’ and delivery excellence. Your previous experience will mean that you can lead on all finance discussions on core accounts, ensuring smooth financial management, following reporting systems in accordance with company structures and delivering profitability targets. As an SAD you will play an active role on the Senior Management Team helping to shape the business for the future. This will include developing and coaching key members of staff to ensure account management functions are seen as best in class by clients and industry alike.
This role would suit someone with at least 8-10 years medical communications agency experience. You will be a persuasive, engaging and compelling communicator with excellent written skills. In-depth knowledge of a number of therapeutic areas, and pharma and OTC expertise is vital. It would also be highly beneficial if you had experience in building multi country training programmes and facilitating workshops in an engaging manner. It is essential that you can demonstrate strategic thinking with strong analytical skills and a drive for changing the norms.
