Our client is a global Public Relations agency. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Events Account Manager to join their successful events team and work with matrix teams across the whole business.
The role will include:
· working with the head of events to extend the current business plan and to provide strategic direction for programmes
· managing and maintaining good monthly financial reporting, forecasting and capacity planning
· bringing in new business from existing and new client pitches
· overseeing new project proposals and provide content for pitches
· acting as a strategic counsel to senior members of the client organisation
· Implementing client speaker and events programmes on a day to day basis
· acting as a day-to-day contact for clients in all areas of 3rd party events
· researching new events, building calendars, pitching speakers, liaising with speakers and conference organisers
· producing well written and high quality pitch materials, client reports and event evaluation documents
· designing and implementing of exhibition stands and brand presence at events
· acting as mentor and coach to other members of the team
The ideal candidate will have:
· good conference and events industry knowledge and contacts
· confidence in dealing directly with c-suite clients and prospects
· multitasking abilities
· great people skills and first class client service skills
· strong project management skills and experience
· ability to work in high pressured environments
· team management experience
· Proven experience of leading and owning projects and clients of this nature
· Proven experience of growing clients organically as well as pitching and obtaining new clients
