Senior Press Officer

Central London

£30,000-£38,000

It’s our commitment to making life fairer, simpler and safer for UK consumers that’s enabled us to secure positive, enduring change for more than 50 years. And our ambition to do even more means we need to keep taking Which? from strength to strength. Growing our business to grow our impact.

It's an exciting time to join our Press Office team, working to strengthen our reputation as the trusted voice of consumers through high quality media coverage.

We’re looking for two Senior Press Officers to devise and deliver high impact media plans on our key campaigns and announcements, identifying opportunities to generate positive media coverage in a fast moving news environment.

You will be comfortable working independently to plan proactive announcements, respond effectively to reactive issues as well as brief and support Which? spokespeople for media appearances.

You will have proven experience working in a busy press office, a strong news sense and a high standard of written and oral communications skills, including drafting press releases, statements and opinion pieces.  You will have an excellent working knowledge of UK media, including national print, broadcast, regional, digital and social media channels.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a great benefits package including 28 days holiday private health care and a 3% contributory pension (rising to 11% after one year of service).

Closing date: 30th November 2012
