GARDEN ORGANIC is the leading charity for promoting organic and sustainable horticulture in the UK and overseas.  It has been established for over 50 years, promoting the organic approach to gardening and growing.

As well as having a successful track record in delivering innovation in horticultural practices, Garden Organic supports a series of flagship community gardening and food growing projects.   The Charity’s work across the UK helps to promote health & wellbeing, community cohesion, build individuals’ skills and confidence, enhancing employability as well as improving the local environment within neighbourhoods.

The Role 

The Head of PR and Communications is a key role in leading the transformation of Garden Organic, raising its public profile, targeting and growing business with public agencies and corporates and further enhancing public awareness of its work through the press and broadcast media. These are exciting times for an ambitious PR and marketing professional to join the Charity, which is shortly to undergo a brand review and the redesign of a new website integrated with successful development of social media.

This new role will be responsible for the team delivering PR and Communications and will lead the development and implementation of the corporate PR & Communications Strategy.

  • You will be an innovative and creative thinker with proven experience in developing and implementing PR/multimedia campaigns
  • You will be an inspiring individual with excellent people skills, confidently liaising with colleagues across the charity and developing new external relationships
