Account Director, PA and PR
Our client is one of Europe’s leading independent public affairs and corporate reputation consultancies. They are looking for an Account Director to join their healthcare team. You must have experience in healthcare public affairs and public relations as you will be responsible for leading projects for a number of prestigious clients in the healthcare sector and for new business development. This role will lead a number of accounts across the healthcare practice, which spans the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors, the NHS and independent providers.
In return you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and hugely rewarding role with some of London’s leading healthcare public relations and public affairs operators in an organisation with a distinctive, collegiate culture.
On a day to day basis you will be expected to give strategic advice to clients on public relations, public affairs and corporate communications services. You will manage client accounts and budgets as well as offering high level counsel. You will also need to use your operational skill, where required, and manage a team of researchers, consultants and senior consultants. You will also have the chance to lead on tenders and pitches aimed at winning new business.
The ideal candidate will be someone who already has strong pharmaceutical experience working on corporate public affairs for clients across Westminster and Whitehall. You will also have a strong understanding of the new NHS ‘architecture’. Experience of working in a UK healthcare public relations consultancy is preferred but our client will also consider candidates with in-house experience with a pharmaceutical company. Public relations and media relations experience is useful but not essential. Some understanding of EU healthcare would also be an advantage.
