Reporting to the Deputy Director of Communications within the external relations team of this high profile healthcare organisation, you will provide public affairs advice and support to key internal stakeholders, its’ member Networks and communities of interest.
Your team will consist of two direct reports (a Public Affairs Manager and a Stakeholder Manager) as well as a Public Affairs Officer who reports to the Public Affairs Manager. The team also has some administrative support from a Communications Assistant.
You will work with colleagues in the policy team and the organisation’s networks to ensure that you can influence and contribute to the wider public policy debate using a wide range of communication tools to promote its’ policy work. A key part of this role will be to ensure a joined up approach to influencing key decision makers and other key interest groups, including although not exclusively, parliamentarians, regulatory bodies and others with an interest in health and social care.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Media Manager and the broader communications team to ensure a joined up approach to external communications. The post holder will also work closely with the Deputy Director of Communications to ensure the reputation of the organisation is managed through effective external communications.
