This multi-practice consultancy has an exceptional reputation in the industry and has, to its credit, won some of the highest-profile new business pitches this year, against some stiff competition.  As part of its next phase of growth and as a result of some group-wide changes, the company is in a position to hire a Board-level consumer brand specialist to run a portfolio of big name clients and continue to build the portfolio. The team is hugely talented and  well-established and already delivers exceptional work across a range of clients within the food and drink, retail, and telecoms sectors.

It’s a critical role and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong team management skills, the ability to build long-lasting client relationships and commercial nous. In addition, creative campaign development expertise is a must and you’ll also need to show that you can think outside the boundaries of traditional PR; we’re talking about the development of compelling brand content that transcends media relations-led communications and leads into other marketing channels.  You might have started out in advertising/grown up in digital but you’ll need to be grounded in PR too.

New business skills at this level should be a given but, to drive the point home, you will be expected to generate leads through your own networking skills and convert them into retained clients.
