Reporting to the Media Manager within the Chief Executive's Service, you will help respond to press queries and generate positive press and social media coverage about the Council. This is a time of immense change for the council and an understanding of local government is preferable, although not essential.
You will have an experience in journalism and/or public relations. You will be able to write sharp copy to tight deadlines and turnaround press enquiries quickly.
Experience in creating and editing videos would be ideal. Skill in use of social media is essential.
Please note that this is a two years Fixed Term Contract.
