Press Officer - Public Sector
A Public Sector body within city council based in central London is urgently looking for a Press Officer with very good media relations skills for an immediate start in a temp to possible perm position. You will be part of a well known media team and be responsible for first class tactical media relations including planning and implementing proactive and reactive PR at local, regional and national levels. You will have a strong media background ideally gained in the public sector as well as prior experience of working in a fast-paced press office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information. You will have an acute attention to detail, thorough research skills and an efficient, organized event planner. Confident at making speedy and effective decisions, a team player who will assist the rest of the team when required.
