Reporting to the consumer communications manager, this role will contribute to raising the charity's profile, raising awareness of their fundraising and information and focus on consumer and brand PR to support fundraising objectives.
The role requires demonstrable PR experience, a strong knowledge of the UK national and regional media and a sharp eye for a news hook. The consumer communications executive will need to be a skilled writer and a strong communicator. In addition to handling enquiries from the media, writing press releases and developing new media contacts, the consumer communications executive will need to grow our celebrity and high profile supporter database and act as first point of contact within the organisation for celebrity agents. The successful candidate will also have experience of using social media in the workplace.
