This well-established independent pharmaceutical organisation based in the South East of England is seeking a new Communications Manager to join its highly innovative communications team. The company, which is a significant leader in pain management, has over the past couple of years developed a growing presence in other therapy areas such as oncology, respiratory and arthritis.
This role will be reporting directly into the Head of Communications and the successful hire will work with cross-functional teams, be required to create and oversee the development of an integrated communications plan that aligns across the company’s strategic priorities, including brand, corporate and internal engagement.
You will have had extensive experience within healthcare communications either within a consultancy (reaching Associate Director level) or within another pharmaceutical in-house department. Specific responsibilities will include ensuring communications strategies and tactics are in line with overall business objectives; developing engagement plans for interaction with external stakeholders (Opinion Leaders, professional groups, patient organisations, media, other third parties) to deliver outputs that support the business and its values; build and maintain positive relationships with key internal stakeholders throughout Europe and help build the European communications function whilst developing the services it offers to the rest of the business; support all marketing functions; anticipate, prepare for and manage product/franchise issues; provide communications support for the Business Development Department (in-licensing / out-licensing of new products and technologies) and manage and work with external partners and agencies to optimise communications opportunities and ensure programmes are delivered on time and to budget
