This is a demanding role at the very heart of the organisation, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, Nigel Lynn and working closely with the Leader of the Council, Gillian Brown. Your task will be to provide strategic advice and direct support to the Chief Executive and Corporate Management Team with regard to internal and external communications, overseeing public relations, design, website development and the Civic office.
We want to continue to progress our communications particularly utilising our website and social media so you need to be forward thinking, creative and full of bright ideas. Above all, you must be able to inspire and motivate your team to succeed in a busy and fast-moving environment.
You will need to be experienced to produce compelling news releases and Council publications, but also able to communicate clearly, briefing journalists, Councillors and officers on a wide variety of issues.
