With one of the most successful ecolabels in use today, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has established itself on the world stage, and in little more than 10 years has achieved a truly global presence, affecting positive, ecological change in oceans and providing certified sustainable seafood in more than 80 countries, across all five continents.
Employing more than 100 staff across 15 offices around the world, MSCare seeking an experienced Communications Director to lead and set the strategic direction for all aspects of the organisation’s communications activities, with the aim of promoting, enhancing, and protecting MSC’s reputation internationally.
The Communications Director will promote the MSC programme and its benefits directly to a variety of key audiences, as well as leveraged marketing relationships with our commercial, fishery, NGO and other partners. Co-ordinating teams around the globe, you will have extensive experience of working in a similarly complex international environment, and will have developed and delivered high-quality, innovative communications across the full range of channels.
With senior level experience from the private or public sectors, you will be an excellent leader; able to combine vision, creativity and innovation with exceptional communication and organisational skills, energy and team spirit. With a track record of experience in consumer product marketing, brand development, eco-labelling, and/or related marketing; you must have the ability to represent the MSC at the highest levels in an international arena.
