In-house Internal Communications Manager (Kent)

In order to maintain a leading position in an extremely competitive market, the company is in the process of updating its infrastructure. This will involve significant organisational change, which is likely to impact everything from IT systems to the trucks they use for deliveries. As a result, we are looking for an established Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Manager with experience of change management in a large, complex organisation. You will be responsible for implementing the communication and engagement strategy for the change programme, ensuring it effectively reaches all levels of the organisation. Although there will be another Internal Communications consultant working alongside this position, they will not be involved in communicating the changes; so this is essentially a standalone position.
Initially this will be a 12 month contract, although there is a possibility this will be extended. The position will report into the Organisational Development Director and form part of a team of change ambassadors. As the company headquarters are based in Kent, this position will need to be based in that office at least 3 days a week.
A confident and experienced Internal Communications professional, with previous working knowledge of change management in a large organisation. You will need to be self motivated and equally comfortable developing strategy and implementing communications plans. This is a diverse organisation with a broad spectrum of employees from finance and HR to drivers and factory workers; so previous experience of communicating with similar audiences would be highly beneficial. The right person will be passionate about business improvement, approachable and should relish a challenge.
