About the role
Through our communications plan we are making some important commitments to our customers: to explain our services more clearly; operate as openly as we can and to ensure that we communicate important messages to the right people at the right time and in the right way. As well as managing our media relationships, you will develop our use of digital and social media to encourage two-way communication and engagement. Through providing strategic support and expertise to our senior officers and Members you will ensure that communication is prioritised and that we are thoughtful about what and how we communicate. You will ensure that our website is up to date and contains important information in a clear and accessible way for our customers.
Along with a degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience), you will have a proven track record in successfully developing and delivering campaigns and building corporate reputation across traditional and digital media. You will also have solid experience of web content management and a good knowledge of social media, understanding how both can be used to enhance communications and engagement. First-class written communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to influence and forge strong relationships with others.
