Further information

This is a fabulous opportunity for a proactive press officer to work on one of the biggest regeneration projects in Europe.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be London’s newest urban park. Opening from July 2013 to spring 2014, it will embody all the positivity and opportunity of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and help to reshape and redefine the Capital for local residents, Londoners and visitors from the UK and beyond. State-of-the-art venues and attractions will sit alongside new homes, schools and businesses and amongst green open spaces in the heart of east London. This will be no ordinary park.

Now the London Legacy Development Corporation, the organisation tasked with the Park’s transformation, is looking for a first class press officer to join its four-strong Media Team.

The successful candidate will be able to develop and deliver media strategies for specific projects. They will be adept at forward planning and will work closely with other parts of the communications and public affairs directorate to deliver joined-up campaigns.

Reporting directly to the senior media manager, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, with a demonstrable track record of working on media relations in a high profile organisation. They should have extensive knowledge of the Media and be confident in advising and briefing senior managers.

With excellent written and verbal communication skills, they will be able to forge good relationships with partners and staff across the organisation to ensure all communication and marketing activity is joined up.

Employee benefits include: 32 days annual leave per year, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, interest-free season ticket loan, childcare voucher scheme and membership to Benenden Healthcare Society.
