If you’re a professional administrator with a keen interest in communications, you could become part of the team working on one of the biggest regeneration projects in Europe.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be London’s newest urban park – so much more than your average green space. It will embody all the positivity and opportunity of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and help to reshape and redefine the capital for local residents, Londoners and visitors from the UK and beyond. State-of-the-art venues and attractions will sit alongside homes, schools and businesses amongst green open spaces and pieces of art in the heart of east London. This will be no ordinary park.
Now the London Legacy Development Corporation, the organisation tasked with the Park’s transformation, is looking for a Communications Executive to provide high level administrative, organisational and project support to the Communications and Public Affairs directorate.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the successful candidate will be a pivotal part of the team. As well as maintaining and updating the stakeholder database, the post-holder will draft regular newsletters for stakeholders and help the digital team to keep the intranet and website up to date. Working with the media team, the post holder will also produce the daily media summary and support the team with media enquiries, park tours, press conferences and events. .
Ideally, the successful candidate will be a graduate and have experience in a similar role. They will be a self-starter, with excellent project management skills and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Employee benefits include: 32 days annual leave per year, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, interest-free season ticket loan, childcare voucher scheme and membership to Benenden Healthcare Society.
