Brand new, senior role to join a professional services firm based in superb premises in the centre of Birmingham as Internal Communications Manager.
A senior role within the Corporate Comms team of this hugely respected firm, the Internal Communications Manager will take lead operational responsibility for all internal communications tools and strategic communications advice to internal client groups, so we are looking for a true specialist. This firm has always rated internal communications as a top priority, therefore there are already quite a lot of procedures and outlets in place, however they are always keen to adopt new strategies and utilise new technologies. The company is about to undergo a major, positive change and one area of focus will be the change management programme to support this exciting development so a large amount of time should be expected on this initially. Additionally you will speak with internal clients to develop full internal campaigns and manage communications; you will be responsible for sourcing and sharing internal news as well as managing the intranet site. You will have a lead responsibility for the internal newsletter and for promoting a bi-monthly chat room.
To be considered for the role you will be educated to degree level, or similar, and have at least 3 years experience in an internal communications focussed role, and be able to display excellent writing style with great attention to detail. You will need to be well presented, calm and diplomatic and to be able to display clear leadership skills, and be used to working under pressure from multiple clients. A background within professional services would be advantageous; however experience of working within a complex, multi-sited business structure is essential. The salary level for the position is from £35,000 so the client would consider a higher salary for candidates who match the job brief exactly.
