Associate Director, Crisis and Issues

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most fascinating crises in the industry. By the very nature of their work, their successes go unnoticed  – their aim is to avoid bad press or at least try to put a positive spin on stories that would otherwise destroy their high-profile clients’ reputation. With clients from a wide range of consumer sectors (food + drink, FS, sport, technology) this talented and multi-tasking team has their hands full so an extra spare of hands is needed.

You will be an established Associate Director (or in-house equivalent) with a natural talent for spotting potential risks and demonstrable experience of devising first-class crisis communication strategies. You will play a leading role in the development of the global and UK client crisis work, and champion the growth and development of the team. Acting as a representative for the division, you will promote best practice relating to client service, and lead messaging / scenario-planning sessions with senior clients.

Due to the cross-sector nature of this team’s work, there is no ‘ideal’ background for this role however you will need experience of working on high-profile crisis-management projects for big brands. You’ll be a natural problem solver with a calm-under-pressure attitude, and will bring your own unique approach to problem-solving. Finally, you will be a mentor for this thriving team, able to lead by example and inspire your fellow team-members.
