This major global PR firm is looking to make a new senior hire within their healthcare practice. This is a very important role for an individual who would have covered both the disciplines of ethical health PR and medical education. This particular team which currently focusses on medical education is potentially going to branch off and become a separate conflict shop that will cover the broad range of healthcare communications including ethical health PR, medical education and consumer health. Subsequently, the successful hire will need to be a strong leader with clear vision for growth and development and be experienced in managing clients, the company P&L and be excellent at team management. The successful hire will also report into the Group MD and ideally work as a partner to her.
This particular healthcare practice is one of the strongest and most experienced teams of health communications professionals in the UK. The practice which consists of about 55 specialist consultants has dedicated teams focusing on pharma, consumer health, public health and medical education. Their offering covers product PR, corporate communications, issues & crisis management, reputation management and market access and they work across multiple therapeutic areas on both an International and UK level.
You will need to be experienced in overseeing budget monitoring, revenue forecasting and planning, overseeing client budgets and fee negotiations to ensure correct level of profitability. You will require a real passion for driving new business and be keen to identify new business opportunities and play a proactive role in terms of proposal development, pitching and conversion. You will have a proven track record mentoring / managing teams and also be interested in potentially being on the board of the whole agency.
