Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the Communications Executive is a pivotal part of the Communications and Public Affairs team. Working to the communications strategy and the department’s priorities, you will offer general support as well as: developing implementation plans for specific projects and campaigns; ensuring creative and effective communications in the production of written, printed and online content; and working to brand and style guidelines. Working with the media and corporate communications teams, you will handle press enquiries, monitor press coverage and take responsibility for the organisation and promotion of certain events within the wider programme, as well as being closely involved in digital and social media activities.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid project management skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of basic web tools such as CMS and social media platforms
- Experience of researching and preparing reports
