Sightsavers has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to fill our vacancy for a Senior Media & PR Officer, based in Haywards Heath.
The primary purpose of the post is to ensure that Sightsavers’ policy and advocacy work achieves appropriate media coverage, to achieve its immediate and long-term objectives. This is a proactive and reactive role, leading media work on policy, advocacy and campaigning initiatives whilst also being ready to cover the full range of Sightsavers’ work.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a policy or campaigns focussed media role with a good understanding of international development, policy and campaigning.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills with the ability to present complex information confidently, in a form appropriate to the audience. They will possess good networking and relationship-building skills with a good level of creativity, combined with the ability to analyse and summarise complex information.
