This is an in-house opportunity with a medium sized commercial business to drive forward their PR and marketing strategy.
The key focus of the role will be to raise brand awareness and create a positive profile whilst effectively managing resources and budgets.
On a daily basis, you will work closely with senior personnel to plan and oversee the delivery of all press and marketing campaigns. This will involve generating press coverage in trade and business press and writing for external marketing materials such as adverts, flyers, brochures or e-shots.
You will also take ownership for their website which will involve updating content with a view to improving their online presence. You will also tap into social media using a variety of platforms and ensure it is used effectively.
There will also be aspects of overseeing trade shows, events, seminars and awards in order to create press opportunities which will enhance their credibility and profile. From time to time you will also be involved in carrying out research in order to create opportunities for developing their business.
In some respects, this is an autonomous role but offers you the opportunity to shape the future of the PR and marketing function and play a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s continued growth. It is vital that you have a minimum two years experience, agency or in-house and be adept in all areas of the communications mix. It goes without saying that you are commercially focused, a real self-starter, meticulous planner and feel confident dealing with all forms of media and people whilst managing a strict marketing budget.
