We’re looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and confident individual to help us tell this story with passion and impact as part of the University’s media team.
Based within the department of Corporate Affairs, you’ll help create a positive and contagious narrative for the University that sets us apart from our peers, drives our reputation and plays a key role in helping us meet our strategic goals. You’ll inspire confidence from academics and other professionals across the University and already be adept at handling a wide range of media, whether they be local, specialist or national.
This is a varied and challenging role. You’ll be adept at digging into the detail, bringing communications simplicity to complex stories. You’ll love building relationships - both within the University and outside with journalists and broadcasters. You’ll be someone who is only satisfied with achieving the kind of positive coverage that gets you and the University noticed.
We expect a relevant degree and experience in PR or journalism, a good eye for a story, creative flair and excellent writing and communication skills. You’ll be able to manage competing priorities and love strict deadlines.
