Communications Manager – high profile charity brand – Salisbury – up to £45K
We are looking for an experienced and professional corporate communications expert to join our client, a high profile charity organisation, in an extremely exciting stage in its growth.
You may currently be working in-house or agency-side, for a consumer-facing organisation or clients in the public eye; in-house experience would certainly be beneficial, but either way you must have solid experience in PR and corporate communications, including issues, crises and special situations. You will need to demonstrate your track record with the media (including proactive press relations and building relationships with journalists), B2B communications, social media, traditional and digital channels. We will be asking for examples of how you have delivered large and small PR / comms-based projects and events, and evidence of how effective planning and time management have enabled you to remain nimble and flexible, juggling multiple projects and managing changing priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
This is a crucial, hands-on, wide-ranging and tactical activation role: the Communications Manager will support the Head of Communications in delivering the organisation’s strategy, ensuring the consistent communication of its key messages across multiple channels and reacting to breaking news. You will, in turn, lead a team – setting clear objectives, establishing priorities and overseeing day-to-day delivery, managing different workflows in conjunction with other areas of the business. The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) will therefore also be key to the success of the person in this position.
