Public Affairs Account Director

I am currently working with a leading Public Affairs consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Account Director. The role will see you working with clients across the property, energy and infrastructure sectors. You will act as deputy to the Head of Office, taking significant responsibility for running the team and acting as senior client counsel when required. They are looking for someone with proven new business and marketing skills, particularly in the property sector.

  

The Role

  • Leadership of a portfolio of clients, providing strategic counsel and overseeing delivery to high standards
  • Using property contacts to win new business and grow the client portfolio
  • Managing junior members of the team
  • Budget management, supporting resource allocation and planning
  • Industry monitoring, building up and providing insight into the competitive landscape

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Connections and the ability to generate new business/lead pitch teams in the property sector
  • Excellent understanding of public affairs, planning and PR
  • Proven track record of new business development success
  • Strong team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting and negotiating with potential clients
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to represent the company and services to external audiences
  • Strong experience in budget management, and proposal and strategy development
  • Professionalism, gravitas, and ability to deal with senior level clients
  • Self-motivated and target driven
