PR Manager – 9 Month Contract

Our client is an incredibly interesting and high profile organisation which has been created to promote London both domestically and internationally to businesses and consumers. They are undertaking a major project launch which will be groundbreaking in the technology sector and they are looking for an exceptional individual to lead this. You will be joining our client’s media teams, reporting to the Head of Media and PR, to work on the project for 9 months to develop and deliver a campaign to engage with small to medium sized businesses throughout the UK and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to play a major role in an exciting new technology-based project launch.

As PR Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning a PR strategy and media awareness campaign for this high-profile, dynamic project, including liaising with key media stakeholders
  • Developing press releases, quotes and media interviews alongside the Head of PR and Media
  • Planning, selling-in, monitoring and evaluating all media coverage
  • Managing social media messages and potential negative media messaging
  • Taking charge of the PR budget
  • Managing external PR agencies and production companies
  • Liaising with key stakeholders

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of managing major project launches, with outstanding experience in the PR industry
  • Have excellent media contacts and in-depth knowledge of international media
  • Have a developed understanding and experience of working with diverse stakeholders across all sectors
  • Be creative, with outstanding technology and social media skills
  • Proven experience of managing a PR agency is a must
