This is a very exciting opportunity to work in further education organisation based in the heart of Manchester. They have a fresh and innovative approach to modern education and they are growing rapidly. They are looking for a well rounded, forward thinking Commercial Communications Manager, who can communicate on all different levels and media, with a focus on social media channels keeping up with the latest trends in communications and digital networks/Comms.

You will be responsible for developing both strategic and tactical communication strategies aimed developing partnerships with global brands, recruiting students, businesses and working professionals. The post will work with the UK Director and will be a very important and pivotal role in the organisation. The organisation as offices across the world, but your focus will be the UK communications, London and Manchester. There will be exciting opportunities to travel to the worldwide offices on occasions as well. You will also require some management, 3 people across the UK, the team are based in Manchester and London. Involved in Brand building across the UK and globally, income generation and market positioning to support client and student recruitment.

You will be focusing on a diverse market place but mostly in the higher education and student service side, so an understanding of this markets mentality and how to position communications online and via social communication is essential. Looking at competitor analysis and continually reviewing how the organisation can adapt and move with this growing digital market.

Any applicant must have a strong communications background, digital and online communications including social media is a must. Brand positioning, budget management, event organisation and promotion activity experience is also required maximising pr and partnership work. Involvement in social media from a personal and business perspective is a must have, someone who can understand how to use this channel is very important with the target audience in mind. Experience in the educational/training/student sector is preferable but not a must have.
