The Corporate Affairs team manages our communication with internal and external audiences, and works closely with colleagues across the business to protect and enhance our reputation. The department is made up of several teams including Corporate Communications who manage our relations with business media and other communications activity including speeches, events and corporate publications.

This is a wide-ranging role, supporting across the breadth of the department's activities. The successful candidate should expect to work closely with the rest of the corporate communications team and to develop and maintain a network of relationships with colleagues across the business, including all other areas of corporate affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work with other members of the team to provide effective monitoring of press coverage, competitive activity and market activity and ensure the appropriate flow of information to the rest of the business
* Keep abreast of all relevant internal and external developments and proactively identify communications opportunities and risks
* Develop and maintain an effective online and social media communications strategy
* Liaise closely with external agencies to identify opportunities for external communications and develop and maintain executive communications plans
* Develop comprehensive briefs for senior management to prepare them for media activity and external speaking engagements
* Source key data for development of communications materials around financial results
* Help develop communications material for select corporate activity including Q&As, messaging and recommended distribution
* Work alongside other departments in corporate affairs, including public affairs and The Bigger Picture, to provide communications support on key projects
* Work with other members of the Corporate Communications team to provide effective and responsive press office function
* Draft press releases and presentations for external audiences

Experience of working within the TMT sector in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines will be essential, and we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated with a positive attitude and an energy and enthusiasm to take on new challenges and develop new skills. It will be integral that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of new media developments and some experience of online communications. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong influential skills and be comfortable interacting with people at all levels, working collaboratively as part of a tight team. A strong interest in news media will be key, and we are looking for an individual with a strong sense of personal ownership and a willingness to take the initiative in identifying issues and to take responsibility for meeting desired outcomes. You must be highly organised and able to prioritise, delivering on multiple concurrent projects to tight deadlines, working with flexibility and adaptability.
