You will provide effective two way communications between the Force and its staff and external audiences by creating, implementing and evaluating communication plans across the force. Duties will include providing direct communication to the public in relation to local and force wide issues using methods most preferred by targeted groups and creating and implementing communication campaigns in line with the Force communications strategy.
You will have a nationally recognised qualification in communications, public relations, business or journalism or relevant equivalent experience together with experience of working in a large public or private sector organisation. Proven ability to plan, prioritise, implement and monitor campaigns is essential with excellent writing skills for a variety of mediums to include social networking, intranet and websites. You will be a team player with the ability to work independently and to meet tight deadlines. Good interpersonal skills are required and you will have proven IT skills and working knowledge of social networking processes. A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the Force is essential, working flexibly, unsocial hours.
