As Principal External Affairs Manager, you’ll help shape how Which? communicates with, engages and influences businesses; whether it’s through our range of endorsement schemes or strategic partnerships. Leading a dynamic and successful team, you will be responsible for the organisation’s engagement with businesses, the promotion and understanding of the Which? brand among corporate audiences and achieving change by influencing industry stakeholders. You’ll overseeing the development of corporate engagement strategies across a number of sectors, including financial services, energy, food and telecoms as well as providing colleagues with expert advice and intelligence to help shape our campaigns. You’ll also oversee the development of our highly successful Best Buy and Recommended Provider endorsement schemes and work with colleagues across the organisation to develop campaigning and commercial partnerships.
As a senior member of Which?’s Consumer Action division, you’ll regularly deal with senior executives, whether briefing our Chief Executive for external meetings, accompanying him to them, or speaking to the irate CEO of a company whose product has received a ‘Don’t Buy’. In addition to developing and managing an excellent network of industry contacts, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to embed a culture of excellence in how Which? engages with the corporate sector.
We are looking for an experienced manager with a communications role background, who has ideally headed up a team. You'll have excellent communications skills, be extremely organised, diplomatic, completely unflappable and able to turn potentially tricky situations into positive ones. Above all though, you'll have the confidence to influence people and make decisions on important issues.
