Further information

Ofqual regulates qualifications, exams and assessments in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland. We’re here to secure the standards of qualifications, to promote confidence in them and to ensure that the system works well – that standards are maintained.

Our specialist Communications and Engagement team works on a range of interesting and highly topical subjects, including the high-profile reform of GCSEs and A levels.

As someone who is organised and inquisitive, you’ll plan, oversee and manage our communications, making sure that we engage effectively with stakeholders, including overseeing our approach to communicating the changes that’ll be made to GCSEs and A levels.

Politically savvy and with plenty of nous, you’ll develop and deliver multi-disciplined communications strategies and plans, aimed at a broad range of stakeholders, which achieve positive outcomes. You’ll be able to demonstrate your extensive experience of working strategically and tactically, across different communication disciplines, to deliver joined-up and unquestionable results.

You’ll develop a strategic approach to communications and publications, making sure we have a coherent narrative and programme of communications, and you won’t be afraid to constructively challenge us to make sure we get it right.

With substantial experience in effectively leading and managing teams, you are passionate about developing the capability and capacity of your team and others across the organisation, working with others to harness skills and drive positive results.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your broad experience and skills to contribute to our success as a national qualifications regulator working in a dynamic and rapidly changing sector.
