Internal Communications Officer - Charitable Sector


The goal of internal communications at this highly recognisable brand, is to inspire and engage staff and volunteers by planning, delivering and managing a wide range of internal communications and face to face events, to tell them the story and bring them on the journey.

The Internal Communications Officer will:

  • Write engaging and creative copy for a variety of internal channels, bringing new ideas and ways of doing things to excite audiences
  • Manage face to face events for staff and volunteers
  • Help to grow a culture where two-way communication and feedback is integral to ways of working
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all communication tools, channels, events and campaigns are delivered in a joined up way
  • Measure and evaluate  the ongoing effectiveness of all internal communications and channels
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders

To be considered for the Internal Communications Officer role you must have proven experience of:

  • Working in a fast paced, internal communications culture and team
  • Planning and delivering exceptional, tactical, internal communications for large, diverse and complex audiences 
  • Writing high quality and creative content for different media, purposes and audiences
  • Using multi-channel approaches, to deliver up to date news and key messages (traditional, print, newsletters, online and digital)
  • Managing face to face events 
  • Building relationships with and influencing senior managers in large organisations
