Bournemouth University is looking for senior marketing and communications professionals to bring leadership, creativity and performance at an exciting time in BU’s development. As part of a vibrant marketing and communications team, you will play a key role in building BU’s reputation as a vibrant and ambitious institution which offers high quality academic programmes and research geared to the professions and societal need.
Bringing expert knowledge of the PR and communications mix, ideally gained in a large, varied and complex organisation, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the University’s internal and external corporate communications strategies.
You’ll bring a natural confidence, innovation, resilience and energy to ensure the communications agenda is driven, delivered and received in the best possible way to build BU reputation internationally and with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
Experience of the higher education environment is not essential: more important is your track record of working closely with senior stakeholders to drive engagement, ability to think strategically and influence at the most senior levels. You also need an excellent understanding of channels including social media, excellent writing skills and superb planning and organisational skills.
