Account Manager/Senior Account Manager - Leeds
My client is looking for a vibrant and experienced consumer PR Account Manager to join its Leeds office!
The successful candidate will work on a number of high profile accounts within the retail, energy and leisure industries.
Suitable applicants would need around 5 years plus experience in consumer PR, preferably gained in an agency (with aspirations to become a SAM/AD in the next year or two of their career!).
Strong social media/digital PR know how too would be a veritable asset also as would experience in pitching for new business!
Working across a range of consumer accounts, the right candidate will possess the skills to handle the media effectively with a growing black book of contacts. You will also be adept at keeping clients happy and experience of delivering high quality PR campaigns. In this role you’ll need the ability to juggle tasks but do them all to an incredibly high standard delivering great results. You will also need to be able to manage your workload and help account executives on the team manage their workload and develop their skills.
The role will require the candidate to:
- Offer effective support of the Account Director to help support and motivate the group
- Continue the high level of existing client retention and satisfaction
- Constantly delivering highest level of media exposure (traditional and digital) across all client campaigns
- Demonstrate strong news sense and news writing ability
- Demonstrate strong social media/digital skills
- Have exemplary attention to detail
- Contribute to the corporate development of consultancy, e.g. networking, specific non-client responsibilities (e.g. training, or development of new ways of working)
- Successfully input into new business conversion/ winning new/additional clients
Day to day and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Account Director, the Account Manager supports the delivery of the work programme for group clients, so you will need to be an experienced consultant, demonstrating potential leadership skills and a future capability of making a positive impact and contribution towards the achievements of the consultancy’s commercial and corporate goals.
The Account Manager will handle a range of clients, with support from Account Executives.
You will act as an ambassador for the consultancy, and should possess a growing knowledge of traditional media, social media, marketplace, trends, competitor activity, and business in general.
Your planning and organisational skills should be of the highest standard, as well as the ability to work under the constant stresses and strains created by working in a fast paced and demanding field.
Presentation and selling skills for an Account Manager should be of the highest order and you should bring creativity and a solutions-led approach to your role.
